If you’re staying with us as a family and looking for a fun activity to do with your kids – especially on a day when the weather isn’t ideal for the beach or outdoor adventures – we have a great suggestion: Funnys Äventyr in Malmö.
It’s about a 40-minute drive from our farm and well worth the trip. Funnys Äventyr is a beautifully designed indoor world full of stories, where children can explore, play, and meet beloved characters from well-known children’s books – like Alfie Atkins (Alfons Åberg), Pettersson and Findus, the Moomins, and the Viking kids Halvdan and Meia. Every area is filled with fun details and interactive elements.
We went there recently with our twins, Henri and Hauke, and they absolutely loved it. Their favorite part was the Moomin world, which has a calm and cozy atmosphere. They also really enjoyed the little theatre performance – it was short, sweet, and just right for their age. They talked about it for days afterwards!
Another highlight is the Story Carousel – a gentle train ride through different story scenes. You get headphones and can listen to the stories in Swedish, English, or German, which is great for multilingual families or visitors from abroad.
There’s a small café on-site offering child-friendly meals, and you’ll find everything you need for a comfortable visit: lockers, changing tables, and nearby parking. It’s all easy and family-friendly.
Who is Funnys Äventyr for?
We’d say it’s perfect for children from about two years and up – and also fun for parents who enjoy exploring and imagining together with their kids. It’s calm, creative, and a lovely way to spend a few hours indoors.
